As part of Book Week Scotland 2024, Anne was invited by Glasgow Life to present a creative writing workshop on the art of memoir and paying attention. Despite the evening weather imitating a biblical deluge, the event at Shettleston Library was well attended by a large group of stalwart and highly enthusiastic people who shared their thoughts, energies and promising writing talent.

As part of the Tannahill Arts and Heritage Festival, March 2023, Anne read from her published and forthcoming writing in company with mezzo soprano, Liz McEachen, Derek Doyle on mandolin and guitar and Olha Koksharova on violin. The Gatehouse, Paisley, as always provided the perfect ambient setting.

Providing cosy and welcome cheer on a dreich Friday evening, Anne shared a stage with the excellent band Tuesday International who offered a fine selection of trad tunes and songs from across the globe.

During the lock-down of 2019 Anne was asked to give a session for her colleagues at school as part of their online in-service programme. In her session Anne demonstrated the benefits of being read to by reading from her own book Cadences. Please click on the link below to hear Anne read:

Together with some chums, Anne took part in a shared (virtual) stage to show their appreciation for all frontline workers as well as to just sing a wee cheery song:
For a special birthday, Anne was given the gift of a tune composed by Patrick Quinn and played for you here by Patrick (guitar and whistle) and Maureen Quinn (fiddle). Enjoy!
